SEIU, the largest and fastest growing union in the United States with over 2 million members nationwide — and one of the most powerful groups in Southern California — took the unusual step of taking sides by endorsing Howard Berman over fellow Democrat Brad Sherman.
“We are very proud to endorse Howard Berman for Congress in the 30th Congressional District,” said Bill A. Lloyd, President of SEIU California State Council….”Congressman Berman has been an extraordinary friend of working families in Congress for nearly three decades…and before that he fought for working people in his capacity as a California State Assemblymember and labor attorney….We are going to work hard to send Congressman Berman back to Congress.”
