BERMAN SCORES MAJOR ENDORSEMENT

AFSCME has endorsed Congressman Howard Berman in the race to represent the 30th Congressional district. It made this unusual endorsement against fellow democrat Rep Brad Sherman.

In endorsing, AFSCME leader Barbara Blake said “Representative Berman has been a key leader for working families in Congress. She went on to say ”AFSCME has 160,00 members in California. We will knock on doors, make phone calls to members and work throughout the 30th Congressional District to ensure victory for a man who has dedicated his life to promoting the rights of working families.”

“I have been honored over all these years, from labor lawyer to the halls of Congress to advocate with AFSCME on behalf of working citizens, a great many of whom live in my district” said Berman.

This endorsement comes on the heels of the other union titan, SEIU, also throwing its support to Berman allowing him to claim support of two of the powerhouse associations in the country.
