Jan. 7, 2012
Dr. Pam Barlow filed with the Republican Party of Texas to be placed on the ballot for the Texas Republican Primary on April 3rd, 2012. Dr. Barlow is running for US Congress in the Texas 13th Congressional District.
Dr. Barlow is a Veterinarian, Retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel, and small business owner in Bowie, TX. She graduated from Parkland High School in El Paso, Texas. She then attended Texas A&M University, where she earned two Bachelor of Science Degrees and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Barlow served in the US Army Veterinary Corps both Active and Reserve duty, for a 31 year military career. She owns and operates Bowie Pet Clinic, Mine & Yours Feed Store, and has other business interests. She has served on the Boards of the Bowie Chamber of Commerce, the Bowie Main Street Association, the Humane Society of Wichita County, and the Montague County Grand Jury.
Dr. Barlow describes herself as an unashamed Republican Tea Party Christian Conservative with a loud voice and some rock solid core values. She wants to go to Congress to fight for the American Values of the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and our Founding Principles. Dr. Barlow plans to do what is right and necessary, including teach, discuss, debate, argue when necessary, and whatever else it takes to fight back against ever expanding government size, debt, control, and power.
According to Dr Barlow, “As a small business owner, I know how to save money — in fact, I can pinch a penny until Abe has a migraine. Plus, I have a conscience that won’t let me take what isn’t mine or waste what has been entrusted to me. I understand that I will not be spending MY money, I will be spending YOUR hard-earned tax dollars.”
