Biography of Curtis Railey from The Committee to Elect Curtis Railey

Curtis Railey was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 1, 1970. Being part of a military family, he has lived in a number of places including, Oklahoma, Arizona, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Including his time in Biloxi, Curtis has lived along the gulf coast now for 29 years. After graduating from high school in Biloxi, he attended The University of South Alabama. While working to support himself and pay for college, Curtis performed numerous jobs in various industries and is no stranger to hard work. Prior to receiving his degree from USA, he invested in and started a home health agency with his mother, got married, started a management and consulting business, became a father, and purchased a check cashing business. He has been married for 19 years to his wife, Avery and they have two children, ages 12 and 9. Curtis continues to own and operate the check cashing business as well as his real-estate investments. In his free time he enjoys playing golf, hunting, fishing, camping, and backpacking. He is also active in his children’s activities; serving as a scout leader and coaching sports.
