Michael Joseph Meehan was born on a U.S. Air Force base June 11, 1954.  His parents had met and married in the military, moving back to his mother’s home town of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania when Michael was still just an infant.

The oldest of five children, Michael was raised attending public schools in an eastern suburb of the city.  He graduated in 1972 and spent his late 20′s and early 30′s traveling the country.  Picking up work along the way, Michael gained an enormous appreciation for the vast expanse of land which makes up our beautiful nation, as well as the amazing people who live here.

At age 31, Michael looked up his high school sweetheart, Vicky, in Los Angeles.  A year and a half later, they were married.  In 1992, the couple relocated to Saint Louis, where Michael decided to get his real estate license and spent the next 18 years building a successful career as a realtor and rental property investor.  Michael and Vicky just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, and continue to reside happily in the town of Oakville in south Saint Louis County.  Vicky is retired from her job as a corporate executive assistant and works part-time in her own personal concierge business.  Although they never had children, their home has always been shared with an array of four-legged “kids”—currently two Shetland sheepdogs (Prince Louie and Lucky Fella) and a cat named Golddust.

When the economy began turning sour in 2008, as the result of his work (or lack of!) in the real estate field, Michael got a close and personal look at how adversely the American people were being affected by the gross mismanagement in our government system.  By 2010, in spite of a new presidential administration promising change, things were getting worse instead of better.  Michael’s deep love of U.S. history and respect for the ideals of our founding fathers spurred a growing conviction that SOMEONE needed to challenge the way our country is being governed.  SOMEONE needed to re-instill the core values outlined in our Constitution.

The more he thought about it, the more Michael began to believe that that someone needed to be a simple man of the people, not someone already enmeshed within the clouded political arena.  Why not him?  Sincere in his objectives to return our government to what it was designed to be, Michael is talking to our populus one-on-one and getting a hugely positive response.  He is not a politician, nor does he desire a political career.  His quest for the presidency is based on hope, with a strong faith in truth and doing what is right.  Michael J. Meehan is just the catalyst we need—inspiring citizens to rise and take back the reins on our beloved land of the free and home of the brave—the United States of America.
