As the caption implies, it is not my intention to wow you with personality. My strengths are the willingness to do a lot of technical work, the ability to comprehend the details and sensibility to promote credible solutions. And I’m smart enough to know that you are as likely as I am to come up with the best solution.
I’m looking forward to the primary on Mar 6th. I hope you appreciate my openness, investigate all the candidates and vote Tom McMasters in the Democratic Primary.

I’ve been blogging since 1998. If you look back into my web posts you can find many cutting edge ideas that are considered common sense now. For instance 4 months before Gen Petraeus took command in Iraq I compose an article titled “Why are people again saying ‘Lets dismantle the Iraqi Army’.” This article laid out a premise that mirrored our eventual approach to the Iraqi awakening. The President has recently proposed a housing refinance program that is designed to allow people who have been current on their payments but underwater on value the opportunity to refinance their loans. This is the same program I proposed in 2009. Examine my old website, if you can get over the grammatical mistakes, you will see I have what it takes to lead in congress.
I have a B.S. Physics and a Masters of Arts Teaching (Secondary Education)
One of my objectives is to change the perception many people have about what characteristics make up a good politician. We recently had a President whose greatest attribute was that he was the kind of person people wanted to go out and have a beer with.
Certainly our politicians have to be able to make sentences, they have to be able to communicate but I believe it is more important that they are able to understand the mechanics of the issues.
My strengths are the willingness to do a lot of technical work, the ability to comprehend the details and sensibility to promote credible solutions.
Sure I have passion. Passion is good for football games but when it comes to designing a good healthcare system, when it comes to promoting education, when we prepare for natural disasters, when we decide to take military action these decisions need more than passion. Your representative has to understand people. There’s nobody more passionate than a drowning person, and there’s also nobody more dangerous. So if you come cross a drowning person and act to save that person you need to understand the situation and make a calculated decision on when and how to intervene. Your representative in congress also has to be able and willing to make calculated decisions. Your representative has to be able to manage resources and logistics. Your representative has to understand the numbers behind monetary decisions.
This takes me back to where we started. I’m a fiscal conservative that believes we need to lower the deficit and reduce the national debt in order to lay the foundation of prosperity for us and our children.
