Biography of Olivia Freeman from Citizens for Olivia for Congress
Working to grow the economy, prepare the workforce and protect the environment.
I am a mother,businesswoman and veteran and also come from a small town.
For the last several years I have worked in marketing and Human Resources for a variety of businesses in Ohio. In 2005, I became the first Clinical Recruiter for a major rehabilitation hospital. At Rolls Royce I was the Diversity Recruiter and for many years I sold data encryption software for mainframe computers.
Prior to selling over a million dollars worth of software, I worked for the Johnson & Johnson company of Ethicon Endo-Surgery where I created their first product inquiry software as well as the first summer science camp for young people.
In June of 1973, during the Viet Nam war, I entered the service. I served two terms on active duty and one in the Ohio National Guard. Trained at Fort Sam Houston, I served as an Operating Room Technician then went on to become the Operating Room Supervisor in a small town in Kentucky.
Personally, I am divorced and a mother of one and I have traveled to Africa with a group of physicians to help in malaria relief. I have traveled to Eastern Europe and the Caribbean to bring simulation technology to education.
