Biography of Hombre Liggett from Liggett for Congress

Hombre Liggett is running for Congress because of his love for America, and his convictions concerning the U.S. Constitution. He is NOT a lawyer, and he is NOT a career politician. Therefore he would not add to the legalistic mindset that is plaguing Capitol Hill, and he would not work for his own future but for the future of the country.

Hombre is a man of core convictions, and he stands by his principles through thick and thin. He is an advocate for tax relief and opposes the tax and spend mentality that is so predominate in Congress. He feels that there needs to be bipartisan earmark reform and an end to wasteful government spending.

He opposes government takeover of health care, but believes tort reform and expanding health care plans to compete across state lines will be a good start to bringing down some of the costs in the system. He will stand against cap and trade and will not be idle while bad policy or international pressure undermines the sovereignty of America.

Hombre has a passion for the U.S. Constitution and for the heart of the founding fathers. Hombre knows that the Constitution saved this country once, and believes it can save this country again. He feels that we must begin to draw back legislation that is unconstitutional and begin to govern according to the foundation laid by the United States’ forefathers.

He and his wife, Marci, have been married 17 years. Hombre attended both Heidelberg University and Southeastern College. He started in Christian ministry when he was 19 years old, and has pastored in Dover, OH for over 18 years. He has a business sense, and after managing businesses and church ministry he understands what it takes to be successful, and he knows what our business owners need not only to survive, but to thrive. He is currently a partner with a innovative financial advisory company called the Ascent Corporation.
