TOM SMITH COMMENTS ON STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS
(Pittsburgh) - Tom Smith, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, tonight released the following statement in response to the President’s State of the Union address.
“Tonight, on the 1000th day since Congress has last passed a budget, the President offered remarks rich in campaign rhetoric, but short on solutions to get our economy back on track,” said Smith. “While Americans are now clear on Obama’s intention to employ a class-warfare campaign strategy, we continue to wait for his plans to create jobs, balance the budget, and reduce the deficit.”
“President Obama and Senator Casey can continue to offer excuses for their failed leadership, but this November will learn that voters aren’t buying them,” Smith added.
