SMITH FOR SENATE STATEMENT ON REPUBLICAN CAUCUSES
(Pittsburgh) – Tom Smith, Republican candidate for United States Senate, today released the following statement after the completion of six regional Republican State Committee member caucuses:
“Over the past month I’ve been grateful to meet with and listen to hundreds of Republican Committee members across the Commonwealth – and have been truly humbled by the tremendous showing of support for my candidacy,” said Smith “As I’ve said consistently, I remain supportive of an open primary process.”
“After the completion of all caucus events, Tom Smith remains comfortably in second place,” said Campaign Manager Jim Conroy. “These results demonstrate a divided Committee and may add weight to growing calls for an open primary.”
VOTE TOTALS THROUGH ALL CAUCUSES:

Smith: 57
