Wendy Rosen is the leading advocate for the “Made in America” movement. For 30 years she has worked tirelessly to protect our economy and create jobs by advocating for the importance of American Made products. Through both her company, The Rosen Group, and The American Made Alliance, she has devoted herself entirely to a national agenda protecting the producers of American Made products. Her writings, interviews and workshops have fueled consumer interest and political awareness of American-made products.

Rosen’s professional network includes 100,000 top designer producers and 15,000 dealers who have devoted their micro-businesses to the American-made movement. Rosen has personally mentored thousands of high-design micro-enterprises, helping them grow from local sales at fairs and farmers markets to serving national suppliers for top retailers including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Sundance Catalog, Coldwater Creek, the Smithsonian museum shops, and stores within our National Parks.

Rosen’s company,The Rosen Group was founded in 1981 and provides American artisans and producers with step-by-step guidance in starting and growing their micro-enterprise businesses from a local to a national and international marketplace. Each year The Rosen Group producers the only trade show in the country devoted to American Made products, The Buyer’s Market.

The Buyers Market is the nation’s largest wholesale market for handcrafted luxury products. These events are held in Philadelphia, Baltimore and Las Vegas. Produced by The Rosen Group they offer the opportunity to create long-term relationships between more than 12,000 retailers of fine American-made products and the producers of those products.

The American Made Alliance was founded by Wendy Rosen in 2005 and works with local leaders and federal officials to create public policy that helps to promote, protect and preserve the American craft marketplace. The Alliance is at the forefront of protecting our economy through its advocacy campaigns and consumer awareness projects.

The Arts Business Institute was founded by Rosen in 2004. ABI’s mission is to partner with guilds, vocational schools and university art programs to educate artists about sustainable and practical business practices for creative entrepreneurs. More than 6,000 artists have been trained in dozens of workshops throughout the US and Canada.

The Rosen Group is located at the Mill Centre, an creative business complex developed by Rosen in 1986. Rosen’s renovation of the abandoned Civil War-era cotton mill was the catalyst for the renaissance of the community of Hampden in Baltimore City. Wendy is married to Steve Rosen, owner of Mark Downs Office Furniture. Their home in Cockeysville, Md., is a testament to their devotion to all things American made.
