Help Us Stop The Hate

Dear Friend:

Not very many incumbent members of Congress have the power of a family-owned right-wing radio station behind them.

But that’s exactly what my opponent, Steve Womack, has. His family owns KURM Radio AM 790 in Arkansas’ Third Congressional District. Over the past few months, Congressman Womack’s dad and this station have stepped up their bombastic, hate-filled rhetoric.

Anyone who has heard the right-wing, Tea-Party, rhetoric on this station knows its primary goal is driving a wedge between Arkansas citizens. Although most Arkansas citizens agree with the importance of defending Social Security and Medicare, you couldn’t tell that from listening to KURM Radio. Between the gross lie that Social Security is responsible for our national debt and ethnic slurs leveled at Hispanics in the district, Congressman Steve Womack, through his family-owned radio station, has served up a daily buffet of all-you-can-eat Tea Party propaganda and hate speech.

But now, we’re trying to use KURM radio for the good of our state.

My campaign is trying to raise $7,090 in the next week to ensure that the man who benefits the most from KURM’s propaganda, Congressman Steve Womack, is sent packing back to a seat behind the microphone instead of his seat in Congress.

Please make your contribution of $10, $15, $25, or $100–or more–today, and help us combat this rhetoric today. Also, as a special “thank you” to all of our contributors, anyone who contributes $20 or more will receive one of our new bumper stickers in the mail.

After paying our $8,000 filing fee last week, our campaign is in serious need of funds to help us take our message directly to the voters in our district. Your urgent help has never been needed more than it is today.

Sincerely,

Ken Aden
