Biography of “Joe the Plumber” Wurzelbacher from Joe For Congress

“I was born in Toledo in 1973. And although my parents, Kay and Frank Wurzelbacher, took me to the panhandle of Florida to complete elementary and junior high school, I returned to Toledo to finish and graduate from high school.

Like many young men graduating from high school, I enlisted in the Air Force looking for adventure, a career, and a way to serve the country I love. What I found was the true defintion of courage, values that were expected to be played out in day to day life, and a great respect for selfless leadership. The Air Force also taught me practical things like plumbing. Yes, I really did work as a plumber in the Air Force while stationed in Alaska and North Dakota!

I left the Air Force in 1996 a little bit wiser and loving my country even more. Although not a perfect country – a great country made up of many great people who care. I, of course, worked as a plumber for quite awhile until I found a job that gave me more opportunity to advance. I started at Global Crossings as a data entry assistant and worked my way up to the position of Communications Engineer.

Unfortunately, during this time, I was married and divorced with a son, Joey. My travelling life as a Communications Engineer was not compatible with raising a son as a single father. So, I made the tough decision to take the salary cut and go back into plumbing so I could spend more time with my son. (Just for the record, although this decision put me into debt to the IRS, I have never and will never regret it. I think Joey and I have the good relationship we have today because I gave up the money to have time with him.)

Then . . . . . . in walks Barack Hussein Obama.

If I had known then what I know now, I might have kept my mouth shut and not asked Barack how his tax policy would effect my plans to purchase a small plumbing business. I was then promptly thrown into the political world of lies, distortion and half-truths.

I lost my job as a plumber because of that interview. And I (along with other freedom-loving Americans) have spent the last 3 years watching now President Obama make good on his threat of spreading the wealth around.

It’s not working for us. Rather than spreading the wealth around, he’s making EVERYONE poor to gain political control. We all have to work to stop this insanity. I am choosing not to be a spectator in the governing of this country. I am choosing to fight the power grabs and corruption that is permeating every level of our government.

I am running for Congress in the 9th District of Ohio. And I’m asking you to stand with me. Enough is enough. No matter which side of the political fence you stand on, stealing is wrong.

Taking something by force from your neighbor and giving it to another is wrong – no matter which political party you belong to.

Cheating people by enforcing hidden taxes in food , heat and energy and then blaming high prices on the companies is wrong – no matter which political party you belong to.

And spending more than you have and asking your children to become a slave to pay for your irresponsibility is unconscionable – no matter which political party you belong to.

I’ve recently married the love of my life Katie. And as a family, we’re committed to sacrifice whatever we have to keep this country free.”

    • Whatever your issue with Wurzelbacher; it is apparent that you do not understand the Tea Party. If the Tea Party had an issue with ones race Congressman Scott (R-SC-01) would not have won election, nor would Congressman West (R-FL-22); both gentlemen are from districts where they are in the racial minority.

The Tea Party has issue with Obama and all the other progressives, regardless of party. The Tea Party has issue with policies that will enslave our children and grandchildren with untold debt and little chance of economic freedom; because a few think that the bill collector will never call to collect.
