Legislative Experience
Over the past ten years in the Maryland General Assembly I have fought for:
- our 2nd Amendment rights, especially the right to carry
- legislation to combat illegal immigration
- protections for children against predators
- consumer protection against illegal practices by auto insurance companies
- limits on property tax rates and assessments
I have a clear record of voting against:
- irresponsible budgets,
- bloated, wasteful spending,
- repressive taxes that are bleeding our families,
- out of control government regulations,
- benefits to every group imaginable except for the hardworking families who have to foot the bill.
I am a member of the House Economic Matters Committee, the Subcommittee on Energy, the Prolife Caucus, the Veterans Caucus, the Rural Caucus and founder of the Budget Reform Caucus. On Economic Matters I have gained expertise in the areas of business, energy production, insurance of all kinds, public utilities, consumer protection and commercial law, workers’ compensation, and various types of licensure, medical and professional.
I have been endorsed 6 times by
