“Cynthia Clinkingbeard, MD completed her undergraduate work at Stanford University where she graduated with distinction with a degree in Human Biology. Her medical school training was completed in 1979 at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Clinkingbeard interned at University Hospital in Seattle, Washington and completed her residency in Internal Medicine as Chief Resident at Pacific Presbyterian Hospital in San Francisco in 1982.

After working in both Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine, Dr. Clinkingbeard returned to training at the University of Wisconsin, School of Medicine where she completed a one-year Psychiatric Fellowship in affective disorders, as well as a two-year Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism. Her last year of fellowship was spent as a Geriatrics Research Fellow.Dr. Clinkingbeard is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and was Board Qualified in Geriatrics. In 1990, Dr. Clinkingbeard joined the faculty at Stanford University School of Medicine where she engaged in clinical practice, teaching and research. In 1993 she returned to her home of Boise, Idaho where she worked in private practice, continuing researching and teaching until 2005. Retired from clinical practice, Dr. Clinkingbeard is currently an Adjunct Professor at Boise State University where she teaches in the Department of Health Sciences. ”
