Xanthi Gionis, is the daughter of immigrants who came to the United States in pursuit of the American Dream. Xanthi believes very strongly in that Dream and if elected to U.S. Congress in 2012 is determined to bring back the American Dream once again.
Xanthi Gionis has been a business owner and has had many years of experience in both the fields of law and healthcare.
Xanthi Gionis received local recognition in 1979 when she graduated from high school early, in the tenth grade, at the age of 16.
Xanthi received state-wide recognition in 1983 when she received her Juris Doctor (JD) Degree, as the youngest law school graduate in California at the age of 20.
Xanthi went on to study medicine in Mexico and worked for several years on a joint project of The Kellogg Foundation and World Health Organization to establish medical clinics in remote areas of Baja California, providing medical services to individuals who would not otherwise be able to receive medical care.
Xanthi received her Masters of Law, Legum Magister, in Intercultural Human Rights in 2004 from St. Thomas University, a Catholic University in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Xanthi, along with her family, established The Aristotle University School of Law and Public Health in 2006 in Carlsbad, California. Aristotle University has educated many people in the fields of Law and Public Health, since its inception in 2006, and has provided a high quality of education as well as jobs in the community.
