More information about Dan Boone
After service as an enlisted man, the G.I. Bill made it possible for Dan to attend college. He found he loved learning and after completing a doctorate in Experimental Psychology in 1975, was offered a Commission in the United States Air Force along with the opportunity for additional education. He successfully completed his internship in Clinical Psychology at the Waco, Texas Veterans Administration Hospital. With a university background in physics, his wide educational background became very useful to the Air Force, making Dan a welcomed member of many military teams; primarily in Human Factors Engineering and Contract Management. Completing his years of service as an officer in the US Air Force, Dan retired from active duty with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel with numerous awards and medals.
Dan has worked in the hospitality business for the last 16 years. He owned and operated the popular Aardvark Annie’s Restaurant at Canyon Lake until the flood of July 2002. He continues to actively oversee lodging facilities in both San Antonio and Canyon Lake, and also maintains the small family ranch. These experiences have increased his understanding of the frustrations faced daily by owners of small businesses; taxes, paperwork, mandates, employee issues and government regulations.
Married for nearly 28 years to his wife, Robbi, they have four grown children and four young grandchildren. In addition to Dan’s teaching experience, Robbi and their 3 girls are all educators who have taught in Texas, California, Illinois, and Florida. Additionally, their son speaks and teaches at professional conferences throughout the county.
Dan believes that he is responsible only to you, the people of Texas and our nation. Dan promises to represent your interest and needs.
