Biography of Bill Tofte from Bill Tofte for Congress
Bill Tofte is a successful businessman, University of Texas graduate, a loving father, lifetime Houstonian and a patriotic American. His deep concern for the future of our country and our families compels him to take a stand. His love for our Constitution guides his path. He is a staunch advocate for liberty. His strong speeches at political and Tea Party events have inspired thousands. He knows that NOW is the time to act and that he has the skills and the backbone necessary to succeed.
Bill is the Vice President of a successful manufacturing business. With Bill’s strong economic background and guidance, ITD Precision has helped expand this family owned business into two multi-million dollar manufacturing firms, with plants in West Houston and Harlingen, Texas. The companies now employ nearly 200 employees. Because of his strong business experience, Bill understands the dangers involved in excessive debt and uncontrolled spending and that immediate and drastic changes are necessary if we are to reverse their adverse effects on the economy.
His father was extremely instrumental in developing Bill’s love of country, strong business sense, and determined spirit. C. F. “Fred” Tofte and Dolores Tofte were married for 57 years. Fred Tofte worked as a civilian for the Manhattan Project in Los Alamos, New Mexico during World War II. In 1946, he started his tool and die manufacturing business in his garage, in the Heights Area of Houston. In 1981, Fred handed over the reins of the business to Bill and his brother Mike. One of his father’s favorite sayings, “Take a Stand–Make a Mark,” inspires Bill to this day.
Bill is taking his stand for the defense and restoration of the Constitution. He will never compromise his conservative principles. He will never weaken in the face of special interests or legislative power brokering. He will fight for freedom and liberty at all costs. We need Bill Tofte in Congress.
