Biography of Clem Munno from Clem Munno For Congress Committee

Clem Munno was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania in 1942, the third of four children. He attended High School at New Castle Senior High graduating in 1960. After attending Penn State University and Waynesburg College, he entered the United States Army in 1962 and served three years as a Dental Technician with training as a Medic. After being Honorably Discharged from service in 1965 he worked in the Airline Industry for three years.

Clem started his career in 1968 as a Civil Servant in the Federal Government and retired in 1996 after twenty-eight and one half years. He spent several short periods in between the Civil Service years working at two small firms, a solar research company (Team, Inc. of Virginia) and one (BWM, Inc.) supporting the Navy, and also worked at a large firm, Digital Equipment Corporation, a manufacturer of computers. In 1996 he worked with Electronic Data Systems (EDS), the firm that Ross Perot started, until 2001. In 2001 he went to a small business (CNSI) that provided Information Technology Support to Commercial and Government customers. In 2007 he started his own company, Bronze Star, Inc., that grew to 135 employees in 2010. At that point he became concerned about the future of our country and what kind of America he would be handing off to his children, grand children and great-grand children. He then made a decision to sell his company by December 31, 2011 and assess where he could become involved to find solutions to our nation’s problems.

It should also be known that Clem became one of the best turn around specialists in Washington, DC. Whenever there was a problem such as a poorly performing office or Contracts that were late and/or overrunning, he would get a call and moved from one Agency to another to correct the problems. He always accomplished the “fix” in record speed and after things were working well, moved onto the next problem.

Clem Munno knows that he can do the same as a citizen legislator in the House of Representatives. He is armed with his work experience in and out of Government, education (an Associate Degree in Business Management, Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, and Master of Science Degree in Business Administration), tenacity, life experience in the middle class, and a heart for serving. He will be true to the desires of those whom he represents. Clem believes that there is a much work to be done, some painful in the short term. He also believes that the economy can be turned around with good news coming in the first six months and progressively getting better, with good jobs for those that need them.

We must stay focused on job creation, debt reduction, and passage of a Balanced Budget Amendment to ensure that our Government lives within OUR means. Clem does know that there are many other issues such as education, abortion, energy, freedom to practice one’s religion, environmental issues, and immigration, among others. But our focus must remain on the top three: jobs, reduction of the debt and passage of a Balanced Budget amendment. We must ensure that those we send to Washington, D.C. are citizen legislators, not career politicians, and they will remain” true to the course” until the turn is made and we are moving forward. Other issues can be resolved once the solutions to the top three priorities are underway. But this can only be done if you, the people, remove all career politicians from office and send qualified citizen legislators in their place.
