Congressman Terry’s approach to the American energy landscape is one that can be best characterized as “strength in diversity.” He believes that an energy economy built upon numerous sources of energy production is a major first step towards American economic prosperity and tightened national security. The Congressman believes that we should decrease our reliance on foreign sources of energy and take advantage of what is here: countless opportunities for backyard-sourced American energy. If we fully utilize our country’s resources of coal, petroleum, natural gas and better develop our wind, hydroelectric, solar, and nuclear power production, it will create millions of American jobs, and establish uninterrupted and reasonably-priced power for all our country’s fifty states.

Outside of crafting legislation, votes, and committee work, Congressman Terry is the Co-chairman of the Impact Aid Coalition, a member of the Republican Main Street Partnership, and as the Chair of the Congressional Caucus to Fight and Control Methamphetamine. He has been named a “heavyweight” in the telecommunications and media policy fields in the 111th Congress.

While Congressman Terry’s demanding schedule keeps him working long days and nights in Washington, DC, once each week’s votes are over, he looks forward to being back in Omaha with his wife Robyn and their three sons Nolan, Ryan, and Jack.
