Kool-Aid Drinker Davis Wants Tea

Jack Davis according to the FEC is a Republican per filing ending 05/04/2011 and has loaned his campaign over $1.6 million, see link. Yet in New York, he is running and is on the ballot as Tea Party. However in 2004, 2006 and 2008 he ran for district NY-26 as a Democrat and lost.

Going back to 2000 and looking at Party and Candidate donations that were reported to the FEC, there was $47,875 in donations that were made by Davis. There was something that did not make since about the donations 50.23% were to democrats and 49.77% were to republicans; however in 2009 there was a shift that made up 33.58% of that total and that money went republican. It was as he was planning something.

It was like looking at a puzzle and seeing all the pieces come together. There was a report that Davis had planned, after one of his congressional loses, to formed the Save Jobs Party and republicans accused him of planning to use that as a spring board for a run for NY-26 and a guaranteed spot on the ballot.

Then there is the matter of campaign payments and salaries. One such is James Ostrowski, Davis Campaign Staff. He just happens to be the person that you email if you are thinking of running and want the help of the Tea Party Coalition of WNY. As if by happenstance, the Tea Party Coalition of WNY endorsed Davis.

Now let us look deep at this:

Might the republicans be right about Davis, even though they got the election year wrong? He was in the military and runs a business; that does require you to look ahead long term and plan. Ostrowski who just happens to be involved with the Tea Party Coalition of WNY, has supported Davis in his past 3 races.

To determine if Davis is really a conservative we need only look at his record. Firstly, like the former Congressman Bob Etheridge (D-N.C.) he assaulted someone with a camera who was asking a question.

Second, he seems to do anything that will help himself. Steven Hoffman of the Examiner.com wrote “It doesn’t seem to matter to Davis that the Tea Party is a movement and not a party. It also did not deter him when the leaders of the Tea New York Russ & Jul Thompson sent his campaign a letter calling for him to withdraw from the race or stop using Tea Party affiliation. It is apparent that he intends to hang his hat on the fact that he paid a $51,000 “consulting” fee to a low level Tea Party member and that buys him the right to run as the Tea Party.”

The Buffalo News reported the following: “Congressional candidate Jack Davis shocked local Republican leaders in a recent interview when he suggested that Latino farmworkers be deported — and that African-Americans from the inner city be bused to farm country to pick the crops.” This sticks of racism and is a progressive comment, not something that a member of the Tea Party movement would say.

From the Roll Call, by staff Steve Peoples: “Just a year ago, Curtis Ellis penned an opinion piece that described tea party members as “self-absorbed, privileged children.” Today, Ellis is the chief spokesman and campaign manager for Jack Davis, the wealthy businessman running on the “Tea Party” line in New York’s 26th district special election.”

Jack Davis is about as pro Tea Party as Obama, that is if I could wager on it. The only party that will benefit from this is the progressive Hochul. American Crossroads has an ad out that sums up Davis.

Yes, rah rah Jane Corwin. If only another machine hack like her is voted into office, Franklin’s vision will surely come true.

    • So here it, the Tea Party’s David Duke moment: do you support someone that has all appearance of buying their way onto a ticket and has a history of opposing that which he now claims to support. Davis has employee(s) that have written against the Tea Party and its belief system. Duke was the same in Louisiana.

One of three candidates will win. You have the Democrat Hochul, the former Democrat allegedly turned Tea Party Davis and the Republican Corwin. So do you support the progressive Hochul that will surely tow the Obama line? Chance, Davis that assaults citizens and makes racial slurs, while flipping faster than a fish on a pier? Chose Corwin that just might support part of the belief system of the Tea Party?

So if you support Davis remember his campaign manager said that Tea Party members are “self-absorbed, privileged children.” Davis is an opportunist that is trying to take advantage of the situation, and his actions give light to the fact that this may have been a planned move.
