King the Kingmaker?

King the Kingmaker?

Minnesota Republicans, former Gov. Tim Pawlenty and Rep. Michele Bachmann, Pawlenty is going to explore while Bachmann will think about it.

Where were Governors Huckabee, Palin, and Romney? What are they waiting for? When are they planning to decide and what impact will it have on any campaign that they mount?

So the Conservative Principles Conference in Des Moines did bring in some possible contenders, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton, Gov. Barbour (Miss), Rep. Michele Bachmann (Minn), and businessman Herman Cain. Former Sen. Rick Santorum (PA) cancelled his appearance due to a family emergency.

If we look at just the ones that were in Iowa, we have a bunch of politicians and a single businessman untainted by political office, what a kick off to find a candidate for President.

Rep. Steve King (Iowa) is responsible for the event and appears that he is looking to have an effect on next year’s Republican nominations.  Iowa and New Hampshire are very intense and demanding political states for candidates running for President.

The longer it takes for the ones that have yet to declare to make a declaration the less the chance of making a mark. Yet in the same right those that are in it must maintain their standing and finances to remain in the race. This will be something to watch. King in the end may influence the primary; however, will it be to the benefit of the Tea Party movement.
