Why Democrats Fear the TEA Party

It has become clear that the Democrats in Congress, especially the Senate led by Harry Reid (has a more insipid person ever been elected to anything?) and Chuck Schumer of New York, are terrified of the Tea Party. How else to explain their constant barrage of fear mongering directed toward the Tea Party and politicians they support? What are they so afraid of?

They are afraid that people are starting to figure out that the massive government nanny state that the liberal Democrats have been trying to create are going to ruin this nation. They are afraid that as more and more people come to realize that the intrusiveness of this monster they want is destructive of individual liberty and freedom. They are afraid that people see that the government gravy they keep ladling out, mostly to themselves, simply cannot go on. But, mostly, they are afraid that people will start to look at these elitist, liberal, ‘we know what’s best for you’ boat anchors and realize how very useless they really are and we will finally get rid of them.

Try to imagine any of them attempting to find work in the private sector. Harry and Chuck and their government union buddies would starve if it wasn’t for the special privileges they have carved out for themselves at other people’s expense. If it wasn’t for their protected status, in the case of government unions, and to keep getting themselves elected as Harry and Chuck have done so many times, they would have to work for a living without protection, like the rest of us do. The ones who have to pay for them and their privileged status. But, just remember, they know what’s best for us and are ‘entitled’ to what they have given themselves.

  1. Ronald Reagan is your hero because he was against raising taxes and big government… even though he raised taxes 11 times, doubled the national debt, and tripled the size of government.

Your comment cam in as a reply to my posting about the fear Democrats have of the Tea Party. A suggestion. If you are going to reply to something someone else has posted, stick to the subject. I defy you to read that post and show me where I said anything about Ronald Reagan, good, bad or indifferent. In fact, of all of the comments I have posted on this website, not once did I so much as mention his name. Yet, you take a flying leap of assumption and base you comment on your belief that Reagan must be my hero. Why? It is because you have no rational argument to make concerning the subject of the post to which you are replying. So, what you and other liberal extremists always do, you resort to emotional based nonsense that has nothing to do with the discussion.

I am not infallible. I write what I believe based on rational, reasoned thought and not emotionally driven, irrational screeching designed to distract and take away from the point at hand. If you have something useful to say, so be it. I will listen and if your argument is better than mine, feel free to change my mind for me. If I am wrong, I am man enough to admit it. But, don’t screech childish drivel at me and expect this to have any affect.

Finally, FYI, I am not a Republican. In fact, I have voted for more Democrats over the years than Republicans but, given the mess they have made of things and their refusal to even acknowledge it let alone do something about it, I don’t see me voting for a Dem again any time soon. As to Reagan, I did not vote for him and frankly, do not believe he did a very good job. He did good on some things but not others.
