Obama’s Christmas Gift to America
Like an out of control Christmas shopper that does not realize that January bills are just around the corner, Obama has spent and spent and spent. When he was not spending it was regulation after regulation. All the while in perfect unison of the goose stepping Democratic Party movement, Bernanke and the Fed has been there assisting.
What was promised was a recovery, jobs, homes, all the usual things that any progressive would say that society has a duty to give its members; rewards by need or being, not ability. Give not earn but give. Further demanding that those that have should surrender to those that don’t have the will or ability to achieve.
Future Today
Just looking to Europe will give one insight into what is to come. The Telegraph reports that the Her Majesties’ Foreign Office has warned British embassies in the eurozone to plan for economic collapse of the Euro. The Government in the United Kingdom has directed embassies and consulates to plan for social unrest and riots. They are even planning what to do for their subjects that may be trapped in European counties when the banks fail and ATM’s stop giving out money.
The Financial Times columnist Wolfgang Münchau is giving the eurozone until December 9 to survive, and if at the scheduled summit of the European Council if they are unable to reach a deal on key economic issues it will risk a “violent collapse.” German bonds flopped on the market, short term rates on the rise in Spain and Italy, part of the eurozone devoid of credit: the question becomes will there and when will the investor, not just regional but global, run.
Yet here comes the IMF with its €600 billion ($801.57 billion) assistance of Italy, and the possibility of an offer to Spain. This program may go as high as €1.4 trillion ($1.87 trillion) in a multinational deal. If it fails to ease the problem, at least at a minimum, and the Münchau prediction is correct; the EU treaties did not contain provisions for members to leave once they joined. So the prospect of a “violent collapse” would truly become real.
American Mirror
Bush, 43, was not a great help in preventing the march to this progressive utopia and when the democrats seized control of Congress they tried to ramp up the speed. However; it was when Obama was elected and they had unlimited control of both houses that they went into overdrive. Spending their children and grandchildren’s money was no longer a problem.
Taking a list of past programs that had failed in the United States and looking to European progressives for more motivation and programs they worked tirelessly to put in place anything they could find that had every failed anywhere. Their call was that it would work if done on a grander scale.
As they have pushed America toward the European progressive utopia, we sit in front of our televisions, surf on our computers and phones and watch Europe headed toward a great gulf of destruction. They have not the choice to slowly move away from their progressive policies, they are being forced to flee them like a plague and pray that some will survive the retreat.
To see the great present that we will get from all this; all we need do is watch Europe over the Christmas holiday to see what our future will look like. The only good news in this is that Obama has granted us a temporary reprieve on the Christmas tree tax.
