Shots Fired, Make Moonshine

Thursday, 7 March 2011, 5:09EST Reuters reported that shots had been fired by police in Saudi Arabia. They also stated that “U.S. officials have conveyed to Saudi officials in past conversations their support for universal rights and will continue to do so.”

Yet, the Obama administration has done nothing to help with the reduction of oil and gas prices. If they really want 7 dollar a gallon gas prices, there is an easy fix for it. This would be the world’s fastest fix ever.

Most gas pumps have the ability to be set for multi prices. So set one price for what the seller would normally sell gas at say $3.50 a gallon and a second price for progressives of twice as much, but never below $7 a gallon. This is a win win for everyone.

The station owners could take that money and improve their locations, hire more employees, take their children to a movie, make donations to local charities, set up product exchanges, or any number of other things could be done.

That you must admit is about as illogical as it could get. We sit here looking at the Middle East falling into turmoil, the Fed continuing to increase the money supply (which will cause inflation) and an Administration the is hell bent on stopping the drilling of oil. Yet GE and Rolls-Royce are both building bigger aircraft engines, for even bigger planes.

So if we are running out of oil, why, is private enterprise building bigger petroleum fueled engines. Should they not be looking for a way to use a propeller and rubber-band or maybe solar cells?

If, they want us to use ethanol, why is it so hard to get a permit for a legal still? Yes a still, that is the way to make moonshine. For you progressives that is ethanol.

When and if someone does get one up and running they have every agency there is crawling over them. The ATF wants in on it, the IRS has to get their cut, and the state revenue office has to know you are not drinking it. As gas the tax is say maybe 50 cent, but if you want to drink it now that tax on the same gallon could be 10 to 20 dollars. So you have to put, basically a poison in it. God help you if the local sheriff or a deputy takes a sip of it with poison in it. Then you have to prove that you are not running it 24/7 if you miss a paperwork dead line.

If progressives are so worried that oil is going to kill the planet, let us get rid of it. That’s right drill it, refine it, and use it and run out of it. The faster we run out the sooner they can move into that one room cave, make a leaf dress and eat tree bark.
