I’m running for Congress from the 2nd District of California. My politics is entirely Green and I’ve worked in the third party Green Movement since I was a founding activist of the Citizens Party in 1980. My campaign is built around seven proposals called “New Green America,” which unlike any other politician’s campaign actually presents true solutions to a vast array of our most important social, economic, and ecological crises. I’m working with a large group of people around the world to invent a way for us to actually elect Greens to Congress using net tools and grassroots community organizing.
We’ve run out of time for the Republicans and Democrats to reorient our economy to prevent the climate crisis from destroying civilization. Of course we should never have trusted corporatist lackeys to take on the psychopaths running the biggest and most powerful, energy, military and financial corporations. And we should not expect a kowtowing dupe like President Obama to solve the problem in time by realizing there is no room to negotiate with conscienceless monsters who wantonly wage mass murder and genocide around the world to keep the global economy and the accumulation of wealth under their control no matter what. Even if it is destroying the planet. We need to get people who will fight and destroy the Republicans in Congress and finally fulfill the promise of the American Revolution, installing a democratic national government run by its citizens for the mutual well-being and security of everyone in the nation!
Their economic ideology is the same as the ideology of cancer cells: Unlimited, undifferentiated growth is good until it kills the body of its host. Cancer cell theory in economics is even more deadly than cancer in your body! This is no time for appeasement. Obama’s appeasement shows him to be a dim-witted dupe, still searching out a father figure’s approval over anything else. He is going to bring about the end of the world just as surely as any Republican president would if we don’t set him straight! And no corporatists, Republican or Democratic (Republicrats) are going to lift a finger for our future. If you want a future for your friends and family, and your neighbors, then please realize that this campaign, and those of the community leaders who will follow me into Congress using this community organizing/net tools strategy, despite the lack of a Corporatist War Chest, is our only hope. The climate crisis has been ignored by the Republicrats for over 30 years! Nature tells us time’s up!
I’m still committed to building independent third parties, but after working in the Citizens and Green Parties for 30 years we’ve got nothing to show for it that matters to our planetary or cultural survival. Time has run out ecologically for the planet. So for third parties to ever have a chance to win, we have to elect people through the Democratic Party and get into Congress to change the electoral laws first so that third party impediments are removed. I am not “becoming” a Democrat. I am a Green. I’ve also been an international Earth First! organizer for 26 years and am considered a world historic figure by the BBC as the inventor of “crop pulling” disruptions of genetic engineering field trials. I coined and unleashed the meme “Climate Crisis.” It took Al Gore about six more years to catch on.

I’ve also worked closer to home on many community projects, organizing with some very loving “Church Ladies” to save the lives of veterans and others who are homeless, using community radio to organize an ad hoc winter shelter that we ran without any government support. We saved at least three people’s lives. That’s Real Politics, politics that saves lives instead of ending them.
I lost everything I owned in the 1991 Oakland Firestorm. I was homeless for almost five years. My Earth First! organizing group was attacked by a car bomber. I’ve got PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) just like so many veterans and victims of sexual abuse and rape. Out of this, at age 53, I’ve become a much more compassionate man. I pursue and advocate a Politics of Compassion and Wellness. The paradigm I apply in solving all problems is to always move towards wellness for all involved.
While I’m not a person of faith myself, I am inspired by much of the bible’s stories about the ways and lessons of Jesus. As far as how I live my life, I live the ways he preached far more than any of the Kill-for-Jesus fake Christians in the House of Representatives. I advocate a turn the other cheek defense policy when it comes to terrorism. When 3,000 people were murdered in 2001, was it really wise to start two illegal wars, kill almost 5,000 Americans ourselves, conquer and destroy two other nations and murder over a million muslims? Was it worth it to destroy our economy to prevent another attack that might kill hundreds or at most a few thousands of us? Isn’t that an insane way of preventing these so very rare successful terrorist attacks. I miss those 5,000 troops who are never coming home? Don’t you miss about them too? I ache for the tens of thousands of maimed service personnel and the hundreds of thousands whose lives are forever devastated by PTSD and the cruel way the Republicrats abandon our heroes once they get home. Believe me, I really do understand your pain. Unlike elite charlatans like Bill Clinton, I really do empathize with your pain and suffering. Thanks to mirror cells in our brains, when I hear about it, I really do feel your pain!
