Biography of Craig T. Stephens from Let’s Fix Congress

I am an honorably retired U.S. Navy, Command Master Chief with over 20 years of Military Service; my military awards include the Combat Action Ribbon as well as twenty additional medals and ribbons.

I hold a Master of Science Degree from Troy State University in International Relations.

I am married with four children, one of which is serving in the US Navy, one has completed a six year US Navy enlistment, and the other two are in college.

I own a successful Information Technology company.

I am running as an Independent Candidate in the 23rd Congressional District because the job isn’t getting done, and I will do what needs to be done to make America Stronger and Safer. I ran in 2006 and swung the election as a third party.

I received 3341 votes, and while this was only a little over 3 percent, it was enough to force a run-off, and Henry Bonilla was unseated by Ciro Rodriguez. After waiting four years to see what a Democrat would do, I realize that I made a mistake in believing the change would be positive.

I honestly believe no one who belongs to a party can make a difference because their party will not allow it. We need to break this cycle we are trapped in. We vote Republican hoping for leadership and when we don’t get it, we vote Democrat and nothing changes.
