Charles King Congressional Candidate Texas District 33
Biography of Charles King from Charles King For 33rd District
I was born in Dallas, Texas in 1986. I went to Red Oak School district, until I graduated high school in 2005. I worked at a wrecking yard for a few years, and then decided I wanted to join the military. My last test before I was cleared to join, was my hearing exam. I failed the hearing test horribly, and was unable to join the Army. Since I was unable to serve my country through the military, I decided to go to school, and try to serve my country by limiting the Federal government. I started out my higher education at Cedar Valley College in Lancaster, TX. After I graduated from Cedar Valley, my sights were set on Southern Methodist University.
I spent four semesters at SMU, and graduated with a History degree in 2010. Although some of my teachers were great, many taught Left-wing talking points on a daily basis. It was upsetting to hear these ideas taught in a private school, which I believed to have a Conservative tradition. Ill never forget students and teachers alike protesting the George W. Bush Library. In the end, many people could only laugh at the protesters, Bush raised over 100 million dollars for the facility, in less than a hundred days. The sum far exceeded Bush’s predecessors.
After I graduated, I began working in the private sector. I was promoted to general manager of three locations. I am very happy with my job, but my love for this country pushed me to run for the House of Representatives. The massive spending and overreaching government brought on by the Obama administration makes me fear for the future of my children. We, as Republicans, need strong Conservatives in office that can argue our principles on the House floor.
