Biography of Bill Lawrence from Lawrence for U.S. Congress

From earning a Bronze Star for Meritorious Service in Vietnam, to leading one of the fastest-growing communities in the North Texas Region, and serving as a Governor’s appointee to key state boards & commissions, Bill Lawrence has compiled a distinguished record of leadership at the national, state and local levels. Lawrence has tackled tough issues, balanced budgets, cut wasteful spending and worked cooperatively with others to get things done. Bill is committed to “Upholding the Constitution….And Keeping America on Track”

Overall, Bill Lawrence’s professional career and life of service have been guided by an unwavering sense of fairness, hard work and personal integrity. In addition, prior to his launch into adulthood, in 1965 he was selected by his childhood Baptist Church in Tuskegee, Alabama, for a fellowship in the William H. Danforth, American Youth Foundation (AYF), Christian Leadership Development Program in Stony Lake , Michigan… a national program for developing character, spiritual balance and moral values in the next generation of American young leaders.
