Biography of Brian Froelich from Froelich for Congress
Born one of 8 children in Newark, Brian lived many years in Maplewood. He has owned a home and summered for decades in Spring Lake before moving there permanently several years ago with his family. He has been married to his high school sweetheart for 45 years, has 5 children, and 12 grandchildren. He is an entrepreneur and has been a successful business person in both large and small enterprises for many years. He has been a certified public accountant and attorney and has been active in (and on the Boards of) several civic, business, and charitable organizations.

Business Career:
Brian worked early on as an accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co, as a management consultant with Coopers and Lybrand, and then as an executive with a New York Stock Exchange listed insurance company.
He started his own business in 1980’s and, from a zero base start, built a nationwide, industry leading company with sales of $200 million. He was featured in a Fortune magazine article and rated one of the 25 most influential people by an industry trade magazine. He sold the company to American Express and was a successful executive at American Express for a decade, He helped them build several multi-billion dollar businesses and was inducted into the American Express Hall of Fame.
After leaving American Express Brian became President of a senior housing company called Senior Campus Living Inc (SCL) and helped develop it into an industry leading organization. Two of the communities he helped to develop at SCL are Seabrook Village in Tinton Falls and Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains.
Brian has served as the President of, or on the Board of, several other businesses.
